Autumn Party Designs

It may be Fall, but it feels like Winter in Texas... brrr!
We've been busy this month with pre-holiday installations and a bit of fun as well. Our feature today will have you inspired by one of our projects and give you a nudge to start thinking about Thanksgiving

I've started my planning since I will have all three babies back in the nest! Ashley moved back to Austin from London and I can't be more thrilled:).

An Autumn Party - Hosted by our Client!

Remember this beautiful custom home we recently completed in Fairview? (See our Houzz for the full project!!) We were so excited to see the final product and even more excited when our client decided to show it off in style with an Autumn Party for all their friends and family!

We worked with our preferred floral artist to create the warm harvest feel which fit perfectly with the delicious catered feast.

The dining room table was a gorgeous focal point due to the fresh tables cape.

Even the fireplaces throughout the home were perfectly
adorned with Autumn accessories.

Thank you Matt and Ronda for a fabulous evening in your new home. We loved working with you and better yet...
celebrating together!

How to make YOUR Autumn Party Unique:
Thinking about throwing a Fall or Thanksgiving Party of your own? We are sharing a few of our favorite and most unique ideas to make your party as special as it can be!

1. A "Thankful For" List
- Use brown craft paper as placemats and hand write your list of
thanksgiving for all to see!

 2. Leaf Placecards
Use a paint pen and a few picked leaves from outdoors to create your very own place cards!

3. Painted Pumpkin Placesetting
Go un-traditional with your color scheme and paint a mini pumpkin for a cool, crisp take on your Thanksgiving table

4. Book Page Feather Decor
Use a match and an old page out of a book to create a custom feather to add to
your table decor

Happy Table-Setting!!

Man Crates Challenge - The Man Cave Makeover

We were invited by Man Crates- Gifts for Men to take part in their Man Cave Makeover challenge!

What does that entail??
WELL. What gifts and items could WE, Traci Connell Interiors,
suggest to gift to a man for his "special" room in the house?

Man Crates is an online store that has just about anything for that man in your life that already has everything! From creative wooden crates filled with speciality foods to beers ... you CAN find whatever you need for that impossible-to-shop-for man this Christmas!

Sources: A. B. C. D. E. F. G. H. I. J. K. L.

When asked - What would WE gift a man for his man cave re-do... we knew the perfect solution. Bring on the industrial lighting made from old whiskey and beer bottles along with a mix of leather, woods, and metals to transform this manly space.

Custom modern cowhide rugs with "cross-hair" hunting inspired drapes give the room depth and softness by adding in fabrics and textures.  What better to define a man cave, than a "man cave pillow" to top off the Le Corbusier black leather sofa?

And lastly, a few built-in units to finish off this "cave". A custom 3-TV spaced media wall and free formed wood topped bar for eating and drinking!

With the recent SNOW here in the Dallas area ...
we got in the Christmas spirit and began thinking of our gift list for the season!

This just seemed like the BEST gift for that dingy man cave ;)
Wonder what it smells like?!

Client Project: A Master Bath and Closet Flip!

From outdated to streamlined and impressive --
this Master Bathroom takes on a whole new meaning of clean and contemporary!

This particular Master Bathroom ... just might be the most CHANGE we've seen yet!

This project is a great example how we can help you be creative with a footprint
in order to maximize the entire space. Since this home had a huge crawl space, we
were able to actually flip the bathroom with the closet by gutting both rooms...
and actually starting over! The vanity shown above is actually located
now where the closet was. Additions such as removing the tub, adding windows
and specifying contemporary products has resulted in a HOME RUN!

Check out the Before and After pics below!!
After many revisions to the structural layout of this bathroom/closet space,
we landed on what we believed would be the best look and function for this busy family!

Their desire for this space was ultra-contemporary, with pops of BRIGHT colors.
We accomplished that look by mixing the stark white in the Silestone countertop with the cobalt blue paint and accent tile in the shower!

SEE THE TRANSFORMATION:

AND AFTER!

The outdated vanity......

Became glamorous!

An unusable shower/bath combination .....

Became a fully functioning walk in shower!

Now this family can enjoy their bathroom while using
the space functionally.

BUT WE AREN'T DONE!! ;)
The secondary bath needed an update as well!!
By using the same thought process of ultra-contemporary and bright colors,
we brought in a PUNCH of orange!

 THE FINISHED PRODUCT!!

Does YOUR bathroom need a punch of TCI?!
As always, give us a call to help you transform YOUR space!

Client Installation: A Modern Lavender and Gray Eye Catcher

As we've said MANY times before, we love installation days.
And this one, was another for the books.

Such wonderful clients, with such wonderful taste...
allowed for this spectacular transformation.

Keep scrolling for the drastically different "before and after" shots of this fun space.

 LIVING ROOM:

And AFTER:
The custom painted Vanguard casegoods gave the space great "bones" to build off of.

A large Bernhardt sectional is a comfortable place for this busy family of 4 to relax in the evenings and enjoy their newly completed home.

Their large living space allowed for 2 seating areas (like we talked about in our recent post HERE!). We used these Vanguard small framed chairs to set this space apart from the other.

Overall, the client wanted color bounced around in their artwork to offset the soft monochrome color scheme throughout the furniture pieces.
We were able to pull some FUN colors in through the art.

KITCHEN/BREAKFAST NOOK:

The AFTER:
It is amazing what a simple coat of paint and changing out the lighting and furniture can do for such a small space! This breakfast nook takes on a completely new look with this Vanguard custom painted gray table and coordinating lavender side chairs.

We continued to pull our color scheme around the room by adding
faux leather barstools to the kitchen island.

ENTRY:

The AFTER:
These inset niches along the entry wall can sometimes be a dilemma!
We took this as an opportunity to do something different. By using a lavender wallpaper from
JF Fabrics, we gave these niches a new face. With the additional spike balls from Global Views,
the modern design from the home starts at the front door.

DINING:

The AFTER:
The custom birch branch fabric on the outside back of the dining chairs gives this space a "pop" as the soft lavender wall paint and coordinating honeycomb wallpaper on the ceiling seemingly fade into a great backdrop for this space.
By bringing in bold blues in the artwork, we were able to bounce multiple colors around the home.

We are so thankful for great finished products and even more.. great clients!!
