Client Project: A Modern Earthy Escape

It's that time again! Client project features - we love to showcase our latest and greatest to give you a sneak peek at what we are working on.

Together with Ron Davis Custom Homes, we conquered what we like to refer to as an "earthy" design with clean, modern lines.

Check out a tiny bit of the design below and stay tuned for the full reveal once we get pictures back from the photographer!

The Gray blue cabinets paired with the natural wood "X" detail island creates such a marriage between modern and organic that we love and want to create more and more

Below are a few of the pages from our design presentation:

Like we said, stay tuned for more of this wonderful home ...
we leave you with the front elevation to this masterpiece:

We received this excited email from the happy couple that purchased the home:
"We just purchased the Ledgestone house! While there is no doubt that Ron builds beautiful homes, I have to tell you that the design decisions are what convinced us this is the one for us. After seeing a number of homes featuring 'earthy' colors, it was so wonderful to walk in and see all the greys and blues, the clean design, (and those incredible fixtures)."

Read on to see just a few of the custom, unique details that we have incorporated into this stunning home and be sure to check out HOUZZ for ALL the pics.

Custom stair rails, and wood accent walls are just a couple of the details that are our favorite.

Modern elements in design builds are becoming the hot topic of Dallas and we are here to show you how we implemented many of these tips.

Wine Cellars - from nickel peg wine bottle displays, to glass enclosures, these wine rooms are the talk of the town.

Light wood flooring in contrast to darker reclaimed wood or gray wood accents gives a modern home a touch of texture.

Gray on gray. We like to mix the monochrome concept by adding different shades of gray throughout the same space.

Wallpaper, wallpaper, wallpaper.

Backlighting and full-wall stone. What a stunning way to showcase a gorgeous stone, by creating a whole wall using it and lighting it in such a spectacular way.

Spanish Meets Modern at Alys Beach

Spanish meets Modern architecture ....

In a recent trip to Alys Beach, I was struck by the beauty in these homes!
And talk about inspiration for our projects!!

The contrast of light and dark in the exterior of the architecture is
something new and fresh.

The shapes, curves and designs of the windows and doors were spectacular and unique.

The soft curves caught my eyes immediately and is a design element that we don't
use near as often as we should!

Beautiful archways around doors such as these .... amazing!

The use of stucco, paint and wood on this building is an excellent example of the Spanish meets Modern approach!

The contrast of dark windows with the light stucco was another element that struck me. Lets put this new look to good use!!

When I made it back to the office after this amazing vacation, I couldn't help but to let some of my inspiration seep into our newest construction project!
A Ron Davis Custom Home project we are designing is the perfect place to start.

From finishes to ceiling design and everything in between.

We plan to use the light and dark contrast with the
ceiling details of beams and light walls.

The soft curves are planned to encase the bookcase design.

As well as door openings ....

We can't wait to see how this takes off!!
Thanks to the Spanish meets Modern APPROACH!
