Client Project Pt 2: A Relaxing Master Bedroom - Before and After

Following suit from our blog post Tuesday, where we revealed a client project ...
Before and After of a Master Bathroom ...
we now reveal to you,
the Master Bedroom that accompanies this space!!

These empty nesters considering moving and did not think it was feasible to transform their Master Bedroom into a relaxing retreat they could enjoy for another 15 years.

TCI saw otherwise and soon with a space plan and color scheme in place, the vision to renew the space came to fruition.

Check out the BEFORE pictures of the space ... and where it all started:
This large space needed purpose and cohesiveness Sectioning off different areas but keeping the colors consistent throughout helped the eye travel the room and always find a soft place to rest.

BEFORE:

The large dated built-in was given a facelift by removing fluting, carving, and changing mirror to grasscloth, adding crisp white paint, updating the hardware and adding simple accessories gave life to the heavy piece.

BEFORE:

Now fast forward to after weeks of designing and creating ... the AFTER pictures!!

The upholstered bed nestled against a grass-cloth textured wall is a dramatic statement when first entering the room. Paired with custom paintings and bedding that dawns the fabric that started this serene color scheme, this bed vignette is soft, serene and soothing.

A sitting area in the middle of the room under a beaded Currey fixture is a delicate anchor to this Master Suite Retreat.  The custom Kravet area rugs and so soft to the touch (feet:).

A driftwood wrapped floor length mirror, which brings in the natural elements the client desired, accompanied by two stools to assist in their morning routine gives a purpose to the wall outside the Master Bath.

The largest transformation is the existing built-in that breathes new life with removal of the moldings, fluting, mirrors and beveled glass and replaced with fresh white paint, bold decorative hardware, shaker-style doors and grasscloth backing.

A custom height TV console by Paloma Creations displays modern acrylic hardware and oval detailing while bringing the darker hues of the headboard throughout the room.

Our clients can't wait to spend the next 15+ years enjoying this relaxing atmosphere and they hardly want to leave their bedroom!
