My new Little Black Dress

Monday am...

-woke up late (a rarity for me)
-drank lots of Starbucks (normal)
-stumbled into my organized closet (wait...no)

All true until I got to the organized part...

But I found hope when I spotted this today-

Leave it to The Container Store to come up with yet
another use for our favorite
Little Black Dress!

Now, I do have a few, but none that works it like this!

A place for necklaces, bracelets and earrings which hangs on a hook
or curtain rod. 39 clear pockets on one side and 24 loops on the other .

They don't call it the Happy Organized Home Sale for nothing!

I'm going-

Monogrammed Chairs: I'll take a Pair

I've always love personalizing a space with initials...
and I just did it for a client project...
(it is a surprise, so I'll show you after the reveal!)

How about a surprise for you?!!

I was sourcing chairs for a client presentation and stumbled upon
a feature of the line, Designmaster, which is custom monogramming...
that we all can afford!

Do not stop with the bed sheets!

Look at these fabulous options...

I really dig the letters but Style #8 makes my hear flutter-
so classic...

The contrast cording really sets these chairs apart as well.

Below is the selection of thread colors and I didn't even include them all-

Here are some tips from the folks at Designmaster...
located in Hickory, North Carolina:)

Custom embroidery designs applied to the inside back of our dining chairs
are positioned on the chair to be seen a few inches above the table top. If the chair
back is taller, the embroidery design will be further down from the top of the chair back.
If the chair is shorter, the design will be closer to the top of the chair back.
The monogram embroidery designs are slightly larger than the monogram
designs. However, the design placement is done in the same fashion.

Custom embroidery applied to the outside backs of our chairs, in most cases, will be placed on the upper portion of the chair back at a height level similar to the front. Sometimes, the embroidery design will look more appealing if it is centered on the back of the chair.

Now who says you have to sew.  If you have a steady hand, paint it!

And I have to close out with this sweet little chair donned with the

Happy 4th and Happy Hughes: Client Before and After

Happy 4th of July!

We're water logged after a busy weekend at the lake,
but thought I'd share one of my latest projects in the color
scheme of red, white and blue!

It all started with this fabric integrated into a really traditional room! Yes, yes, yes!

A great Before and After at a classy North Dallas home-

Before:

After!

My clients, Hughes Who?, were finished with the oversized Waverly patterned
sectional... it did serve them well!  The challenge was to furnish the room
around the colorful area rug.

Mission Accomplished!

Dishing the details!

Bonus: Faux roman shades too in a beautiful Robert Allen classic

If you missed my newsletter last week, you missed me on
my soap box preaching about recliners!

The chairs in this room are custom made from
Motioncraft and covered in a COM by Kasmir.

They are both recliners!!!

My go to solution for comfort and space challenges:)...

Let me know if you want me to send you the F.R.E.E. Ezine
with a wide variety of recliners just for you.

Ending the post with a ***BANG***,

Find 3: Home Theater Rooms: All in One

Another surprise from my trip to Dallas Market last week~

I popped into the Patricia Group to check out some Surya rugs
from the Candice Olson line and ran into this...

Maybe it's me whose been living under the rock, but I haven't seen many
home theater rooms with this set up.  Really, it's just like being at
Studio Movie Grill in your own home.

The Patricia Group has found a niche in Home Theater Design
and here are my top 5 faves from their showroom floor:

Love the shelf on the back of the sofa!

Next up... same idea but with an extra row of chairs in back.
(They are actually turn key... from furniture to audio equipment to the risers)

Just for me... a bit more transitional

Fabric acoustic panels to enhance sound quality

A bit of Hollywood here...

They even sell the popcorn machines and lit movie boxes!

Everything you want to make your Media Room the best on the block...
but you need me to get you in here!

Call me and we'll order you a room- pronto...

Until next time,

Find 2: Peacock Park- an Olde Surprise

What is it about this Vintage Chic look that keeps calling my name?

I stumbled upon this new showroom while on my day trip
to the Dallas Market Center and was enchanted by
the creative merchandising and charming displays.

Enter Peacock Park, who's owner founded the company
due to her love of all things worn, tattered, old, torn-
and of course, French.

Can someone please just hire me already to design a room using this stuff?!!!
I need to get it out of my system
(then, I will quit blogging about it:)

Luv the curled, printed paper chain-

 Mirror idea is so cute
maybe a DIY project for you!

If you love this romantic, European chic design style also,

Find 1: Custom Chairs that Wow!

Fun day at Dallas Furniture Market on Thursday...
lots of snacks and oh-so- many buyers...
but I enjoy the perks of braving the crowd.

Once in a while, I'm stopped dead in my tracks.

~Photo break for the above~

Not only do I adore the color combination, but this chair
is a go-to resource because it is....

A winning combination!

1: Simple:  Clean lines on the frame
2: Custom: Choose any fabric you love
3: Affordable: Use the focal fabric on the front or back only
4: Functional: Faux leather goes on the seats for easy clean up!

I raved about this same style chair last year... so I must still love it!
Read that post here and see more examples of how to use
it in your kitchen or dining room.

Greenhouse Fabrics sent me an extra book which has some of these
extra fabrics!  I say-
Go for it!

I also carry vinyls faux leathers in all colors-

... and I probably don't need to remind you of how I feel about nailhead-
read about it here

Tobi Fairley's twist on the same idea...

A bit simpler but classy-

Bold on the front and solid on the back-

Use the more affordable fabric on the back or switch it up!

Don't forget to customize the wood color as well:)

I'll be sourcing these chairs for my clients, More, More, Moore's
so let me know if you want some too!

Until next time,
