Client Project: Modern Gameroom & Unique Pool Table

The Contemporary Pool Table Craze!

The pool table of your dreams (or the man of the house's dreams)...
doesn't have to look like THIS:
Thank goodness, our client (previously known as New York, New York
has very good taste and kept us in his good graces by
custom designing this beauty!

 By Traci Connell Interiors

Here are some pics from our photo shoot of his game room:

-Hold your breath when you check out this light fixture-

Check out a few other pool tables from around Houzz and a tip or two to go with it!

1. It's all about the base.
A pool table top.... well other than the color... is a pool table top.
So bring out the creativity in the base design of the table.
Metal or wood? Geometric shapes or freeform?
It's all up to YOU. Be different.

2. Pair your new table with awesome lighting.
In the world today, we are so over the typical 3-light bar billard light.
Do something unexpected.

3. Don't be afraid to go outside your box.
The game room / pool table space is the one place in your home you CAN step outside
your comfort zone with no regrets. Enjoy!

Take the step and go for a new, unique game room look!!

Client Project Reveal: Colorful, Modern Game Room

This is why I do what I do!!!!

A successful client project is measured by a response like the one above...
(and look at me... just as happy as the homeowner:)

Courtney and I dug way deep in the creativity bucket
(as well as the paint bucket) to design this multifunctional,
colorful gameroom for an active family.

BEFORE:

For the remodel portion of this job, TCI incorporated a custom craft area,
broke into the wall to find unused space for a bar and redesigned the entertainment unit.

We added drop pendants over work station and sleek sconces to the bar,
as well as task lighting using unique lamps.

The Vanguard custom barstools were a hit and are comfy to boot!

Solution to a design dilemma:
Behind the large canvas art piece is a door to the attic-
GONE!
Art is on installed on L brackets for easy on and easy off.

(Custom touch, the artist incorporated their last name initial
G in the top corner and IV for number of family members-
we all love it)

Custom painted nesting tables by CTH Sherrill and storage ottoman with
faux leather on the top for durability- also by Vanguard

Ahhh, the paint can wall decor! Check the blog on Monday
for the tutorial on how we pulled this one off!!!

Last but not least, our perfect mascot Izzy settled on our perfect Surya rug-

Thanks to our lovely clients for allowing us to help create this
