Bathroom Trends of the Day

We love to complete bathrooms and make them feel as if the atmosphere is a spa.

In order to give our best to our clients, we are constantly doing research to find new and impressive ideas to bring to a space.

These are some of the trends we have found that are being featured on Houzz as incredible bathrooms.

HERE'S WHY:

1. Faux Wood Flooring:
We love the look of these wood floor tiles that have come so far from where they started.

2. Brass Gold Fixtures:
Add a little sparkle to the bathroom with gold

3. Bold Shower Doors:
Whether bold showers or no shower doors, this look is one to be documented

4. Glass Block Walls:
This play on the 90's glass block is new, modern, and we love it!

5. Lighting Within Mirrors:
Not only does this provide great task lighting, we love the seamless design aesthetic it gives off as well

Client Project: A Fresh Bathroom with an Industrial Twist

We have been on a roll recently with finished projects and love to show you each and every one of them!! Completing something beautiful ... from whatever condition it began in, is so rewarding for us and our clients!

Today we are VERY proud to show you the overhaul of this remodeled bathroom.
First, we show you the FINAL PRODUCT!

As always, every good remodel begins with the floor plan. In this particular project, we rearranged much of the existing floorplan to give more functionality and sense to the space.

Now take a look at where we BEGAN:
BEFORE:

We obviously came a LONG WAY. We've opened up the space immensely by knocking down walls and creating a galley style master bath.

A free standing tub in a smaller scale, helps to not take up to much space, yet still gives a unique and functional purpose in this space.

One of our favorite aspects of the entire bathroom space is the sliding stained doors on a track system that lead into the closet. We were able to "hide" a space that might not want to be seen often and still open up the bathroom space with the use of these doors.

Instead of typical vanity lights, we chose hanging sconces to give the space a taste of industrial and uniqueness.

A large walk in shower was created at the end of the galley bathroom by using frameless glass and a combination of subway tiles and a glass accent mosaic strip.

At the end of the day, we can officially say, this bathroom renovation was a huge overhaul and a HUGE success when it comes to functionality, design and aesthetics!

Reno's CAN be fun too!! ;)

A Client Project: Minimalistic Master Bath

This galley shaped master bathroom took on an entirely different personality
when we got a hold of it!

I've worked with this young couple for years and now they have a sweet little daughter! With that said, they have streamlined the house which is super functional and
THE MOST ORGANIZED HOME I've ever been in!
(I wanted to gut my closet every time I left there)

The client's top priorities were :
1. Functionality
2. Less is More
3. Clean and Simple

With an overall neutral color palette including subtle shades of purple
we are ecstatic with the turn out!

But FIRST -- Where it all began:

 AFTER and BEFORE:

Vanities

Shower and Tub

Where did WE start and how did we get there?
Check out our drawings of the space!

Elevation drawings of the vanity and shower/tub wall help to visualize what the end product will look like, and ensure correct measurements of all items.

Now for the final product!!

We wrapped the drop in rectangular tub in the same linear stria floor tile that covered the main flooring and continued it around the entrance to the frameless shower for a cohesive, collective look.

The modern brushed nickel plumbing fixtures for the bathtub sit atop the tile decking around this beautifully contemporary drop in bathtub.

A linear 4"x 16" glass tile in soft gray was chosen for the frameless shower and we decided to run it vertically around the space for an even more modern look.

Cabinetry style can ultimately set the stage for the style of a space. This completely flat panel custom cabinetry immediately gives this bathroom a look of "sleek". With the clean gray quartz countertops and coordinating brushed nickel straight pulls, the less-is-more concept quickly comes to fruition.

Floating vanity mirrors behind the 2 pendants dropped in front of each vanity gives each partner his and her own space to love in the bathroom. Along with plenty of cabinet space and the custom center cabinetry and towel holding cabinet, we were able to give this vanity a very unique and one-of-a-kind look.

See your simple because simply-perfect with the help of TCI ;)

Client Project: Serene Master Bathroom- Before and After

Before TCI arrived on the scene, this Plano master bathroom was not functional, dated and screaming for help.  After, we were able to transform it into a serene, spa like oasis.

Removing the wasted space around the built-in tub, adding a small water closet on Her side, pushing back the toilet on His to allow adequate room for a door, making the shower accessible from both side of the bath, reconfiguring the closet and raising the vanity heights appropriately all contribute to the underlying beauty of this space… the floor plan!

The large floating tub provides relaxation & serenity. The large window and skylight flood the space with airy, sun-filled lighting highlighting the key parts to this design. By incorporating an art piece from John Richards and a soft Kravet fabric, the bathroom begins to turn into a perfect color scheme.

AFTER: Tub

This gorgeous chandelier from Currey and Co really transforms the space. A free standing bathtub from Bain Ultra is one of our favorite additions to this bathroom and makes for a wonderful place to sit and relax after a long day.

BEFORE: Tub

The space was divided into a His and Hers sides however, the shower and tub were only accessed on Her side and the toilet only accessed on His, not to mention the toilet area was without a door! So naturally functionality was a key part of this remodel.

AFTER: His and Her

We added wall sconces to the mirrors from Visual Comfort for both functionality and beauty.

The quartz counters from Silestone added a great impact without taking away from the other showstoppers in the bathroom.

BEFORE: His and Her

Making this shower accessible from both sides not only enhanced the functionality, but the aesthetics of the space with clear frameless glass surround.

AFTER: Shower

BEFORE: Shower

Through finishes and textures the design was amplified. Chrome details with natural limestone tile from Arizona Tile, soft greens and crystal lighting make way for this serene oasis.

When all these concepts and thoughts came together, we have an incredible finished product ...
ready for use!!

Client Project: A Master Bath and Closet Flip!

From outdated to streamlined and impressive --
this Master Bathroom takes on a whole new meaning of clean and contemporary!

This particular Master Bathroom ... just might be the most CHANGE we've seen yet!

This project is a great example how we can help you be creative with a footprint
in order to maximize the entire space. Since this home had a huge crawl space, we
were able to actually flip the bathroom with the closet by gutting both rooms...
and actually starting over! The vanity shown above is actually located
now where the closet was. Additions such as removing the tub, adding windows
and specifying contemporary products has resulted in a HOME RUN!

Check out the Before and After pics below!!
After many revisions to the structural layout of this bathroom/closet space,
we landed on what we believed would be the best look and function for this busy family!

Their desire for this space was ultra-contemporary, with pops of BRIGHT colors.
We accomplished that look by mixing the stark white in the Silestone countertop with the cobalt blue paint and accent tile in the shower!

SEE THE TRANSFORMATION:

AND AFTER!

The outdated vanity......

Became glamorous!

An unusable shower/bath combination .....

Became a fully functioning walk in shower!

Now this family can enjoy their bathroom while using
the space functionally.

BUT WE AREN'T DONE!! ;)
The secondary bath needed an update as well!!
By using the same thought process of ultra-contemporary and bright colors,
we brought in a PUNCH of orange!

 THE FINISHED PRODUCT!!

Does YOUR bathroom need a punch of TCI?!
