Timothy Oulton hits Close to Home!

The British Invasion has a whole new meaning for me. Not only is it all over the design world,
but my smart, sassy Sissy will be moving to London! As a mom, I cannot be more proud
of her work which allowed her this opportunity, but I will miss her like crazy.

This is Ashley... in a nutshell.

We can all learn something from our kiddos and seizing
every moment is what I'm learning from mine these days,
along with... going for it all!

So as I entered the showroom of Timothy Oulton for an ASID event last week,
I felt a jolt of sadness but also a rush of excitement
as I got a taste of what is in store for Ashley across the Pond.

Inspired by timeless, classic design and artisanship throughout the ages, Oulton succeeds in
creating pieces which combine his love of vintage, his knowledge of antiques and his desire to
create innovative, relevant pieces of luxury furniture for the contemporary consumer.

The Britain inspired store is located at Knox/Henderson and 75
which happens to be the first US showroom

Here's a pic of Courtney and I taking a break
from schmoozing

I will surely be back to visit Timothy and his treasures and will
start planning to visit Ashley and start our adventures.

Best of Highpoint Market - Custom Finishes

Painted Furniture, Custom Casegoods, We've gotcha covered:

One of the BEST parts about many of our furniture lines is the customization opportunities. When we say the sky is the limit...we really mean it! This is the same console in 4 different finishes...and that is only the tip of the iceberg! We can't wait to try new finishes in unique ways.

Think you've got a project waiting for the perfect painted piece? Contact us!!

A Custom TCI Settee

A custom settee that spent many hours in the "scheming" phase...finally came to life this afternoon when we were able to see it in person for the first time and deliver it to the excited client!

We started with a concept photo and a quick CAD line drawing....

With a few Kravet fabrics and the pewter nailhead, we ended with a fantastic result!

We are very excited about the result! What do you think?

Pouf Craze in Vegas!

Back from Vegas!

As a national board member of the Interior Design Society,
I fulfilled my role as a speaker on a panel during the Leadership conference,
sat in a whole lot of meetings,
attended great seminars,
watched our local chapter win two prestigious awards,
gambled:),
and shopped Las Vegas Market- sigh.

I'm tired but it was well worth it!

Here's a quick trend from Vegas Market...

The Pouf!

These gems are from Surya.

Do you want to jump on the "pouf" bandwagon? Everywhere you look,
you see these "poufs"!
They make a great foot prop, ottoman, coffee table, kids bean bag,
dog bed and much more...
AND they are aesthetically pleasing!!

Can't get enough... here are a few more!

Shaping Up in High Point

It's Saturday morning... no volleyball games, no carpool, no client meetings...
I'm finally catching my breath- and it feels good:)

I attended High Point Furniture Market a few weeks ago and have so much
to share with your regarding new trends and updated classics.

As I look back at the 700 photos I took (yikes), I can't help notice
that I'm infatuated with the a few shapes that are frequently incorporated
into furnishings... Take a look-

There's the trellis pattern which is all over the upholstery lines-
