BE BOLD with Color in Bath Remodels

Go Big and Bold!

Adding color in the bathroom is a fantastic way to show a personality, brighten up a morning routine and go crazy for color!

Ways and Tips to Integrate Color from TCI:

Colored Acrylic Pulls:
This is one of favorite. Bring in colors from around the bathroom in the hardware!

Be Bold with Pattern in Color:
Bringing in color isn't the same until you put a pattern with it. Really honing in on those tiny details will change the whole room

Use a LOT of it!
This rainbow mosaic in an otherwise WHITE room is to die for.

Check out a few of TCI's BRIGHT colored bathrooms an how we brought in the color!

Offsetting a bright orange wall with orange tile patterned in the shower brought a new life to this bathroom.

Tile and Paint Color are perfect complements to each other:
We use the two to bounce off each other and create color stories throughout the space.

Client Project: The Wall Mounted Toilet

Toilets ... who knew they could be "cool" ?

We have two projects we are featuring with this new design of a "wall mounted toilet"! One project is complete and one is under construction ... keep reading to find out more!

We are ecstatic to reveal this handsome guest half bath.

There are so many unique pieces about this guest bath.
But among them ... is the specialty toilet!!

One of the MOST custom and unique pieces of this house.
The wall mounted toilet.
The tank of this toilet is stored within the wall to create a more clean, and space efficient style.

This project is a finish out at the Residences at Stoneleigh ... and we can't WAIT to see how the end project looks!

The tank has been installed in the wall .... and we are waiting to finish a little more construction before the toilet can be mounted!

Here are our choices from Duravit that are in the running!
The seamless design along with user friendly functions and comfort makes these toilets hot on the market!

The overall effect produced by the interplay of attractive design, stylish materials, light, color and functionality creates a desired atmosphere.

We were so enthralled by this toilet we wanted to share a few other spaces from Houzz that have used this wall mounted toilet.

What do you think about the wall mounted toilet??

A Client Project: Minimalistic Master Bath

This galley shaped master bathroom took on an entirely different personality
when we got a hold of it!

I've worked with this young couple for years and now they have a sweet little daughter! With that said, they have streamlined the house which is super functional and
THE MOST ORGANIZED HOME I've ever been in!
(I wanted to gut my closet every time I left there)

The client's top priorities were :
1. Functionality
2. Less is More
3. Clean and Simple

With an overall neutral color palette including subtle shades of purple
we are ecstatic with the turn out!

But FIRST -- Where it all began:

 AFTER and BEFORE:

Vanities

Shower and Tub

Where did WE start and how did we get there?
Check out our drawings of the space!

Elevation drawings of the vanity and shower/tub wall help to visualize what the end product will look like, and ensure correct measurements of all items.

Now for the final product!!

We wrapped the drop in rectangular tub in the same linear stria floor tile that covered the main flooring and continued it around the entrance to the frameless shower for a cohesive, collective look.

The modern brushed nickel plumbing fixtures for the bathtub sit atop the tile decking around this beautifully contemporary drop in bathtub.

A linear 4"x 16" glass tile in soft gray was chosen for the frameless shower and we decided to run it vertically around the space for an even more modern look.

Cabinetry style can ultimately set the stage for the style of a space. This completely flat panel custom cabinetry immediately gives this bathroom a look of "sleek". With the clean gray quartz countertops and coordinating brushed nickel straight pulls, the less-is-more concept quickly comes to fruition.

Floating vanity mirrors behind the 2 pendants dropped in front of each vanity gives each partner his and her own space to love in the bathroom. Along with plenty of cabinet space and the custom center cabinetry and towel holding cabinet, we were able to give this vanity a very unique and one-of-a-kind look.

See your simple because simply-perfect with the help of TCI ;)

Client Project: NY NY vs. the Black and White Bathroom

There's nothing better than "Crisp Black and White"...

(no arguing here baby,... call me:)

and that goes for your bathrooms too!

TCI and New York, New York are at it again-

A complete renovation of a guest bath in this
Uptown Beauty-

This black and white color scheme is classic,
contemporary, clean and won't ever be outdated!

The combination of custom tiles by Sonoma Tile Makers (sourced at Natural Selections)
really create the color palette in this bathroom.

The black painted crown molding (tough sell to NY, NY by the way) and coordinating
mirror frame help to create a bold focal point for your eye to catch.

The accent inset in the shower was a very custom and time consuming piece of this bathroom...
but WELL worth it for the outcome!
(I think the tile installer hates me:)

Along with the black custom cabinetry by Kraftmaid and floating framed, abstract art pieces....
all coming together to form a stunning black and white bathroom!

The waterfall faucet was also a special touch to the above counter basins by Kohler.

Where did we come from?

Here is the shocking Before and After!

Took it to the bare bones including a new cast iron tub by Kohler

Need a few other ideas of how to bring your bathroom to a designer "black and white" bathroom?

Here are a few tips!!
1. Wallpaper: This is a old new contemporary touch of boldness to accentuate walls.

2. Work with your tiles
Find a specific black and white tile you love and form your concept from there.

3. Be bold with your wood.
Paint, paint! Don't be afraid to paint your cabinetry!

4. Be classy:
Stripes are always a fun, AND contemporary touch to bathrooms. Vertical stripes will help to
make your ceilings seem even taller ;)

One of my favorite projects... call us if you want one too!
